I seriously contemplated buying a real tree this year. But I was mostly raised with a fake one, and well, due to the fact that we're not even here for like the 10 days surrounding Christmas usually, I always end up just deciding to use our little artificial tree in the end. Like I did again this year. It's kind of become a tradition now though, having our skimpy little tree all decked out. I do plan on buying a nice artificial one in an after Christmas sale--but I think I may always be the one person out there who is fine with a fake one!
