That I am not too sad that I don't update this very often. It's a super fun hobby when I get a chance, but I definitely think it is more important to be spending my time in the Real World and not sitting in front of a computer.
But while I'm on here, I might as well do a little update. We got back from camp last night and it was great to see our doggie again. We had a good time at camp and probably won't be going back, not because it wasn't great but I feel like 5 years worth of counseling is good. Plus it gets harder to get everything taken care of when we are gone for that long. We had a few beautiful days there though and it was right on the Puget Sound so scenery was great.
I came home with Bronchitis. AWESOME!
We're heading out of town again in like 5 days, so I have been busy deciding whether to clean or not. Really? Should I? I can't decide.
hmm, what else?
Tara got engaged.... for those of you pals out there who know her. I'm super excited for her.
And.... I will post lots of pics eventually on here. SOME DAY.

Take Steps Party!
I think I explained this before, but we ended up having an alternate activity for some of us who wouldn't be able to participate with Take Steps due to it being on Sunday this year. CCFA was super nice to completely provide this whole activity for all of us! I was very thankful! And it was a lot of fun!

Our Relief Society did a service project to make over 200 pillowcases for a charity that donates them to peds wards of hospitals. Of course having spent a good amount of time in Peds myself (and never getting a cool pillowcase! But okay, I was 15...) I thought this was a great idea! So I hopped on and made 9. They were cute! The only problem was..... I suck at sewing! Seriously, I had to rip out a seam at least once for each of the first 4 I made. RIDICULOUS!!! I finally got my game on for the last 5 though. One was so uneven I didn't even donate it! It is saved for when nephews come to visit or something. But it was a good experience! Sewing IS fun, I wish I was better at it so I could do it more often.

Busted UP!
We planned our first camping trip for Memorial Day weekend thinking SURELY by then the weather would be better.... nope! It was a total bust! We just headed up to Bruneau to a very crowded campground for a one-nighter. We actually had a great time Sunday night!
It was Lucy's first camping trip! She was pretty confused. Especially about why she had to be tied up the whole time.

We roasted some hot dogs and marshies and had a good old time!

We headed over to the dunes to explore a little. This was my first time there, though I think Collin has been many times.

Later that night Collin and I headed over to the observatory to check out some sort of globular cluster of some sort. (??? Seriously, that's what the guy called it. Like we were supposed to know what that means?) We had to wait in line for like 30 minutes, but I convinced Collin to play 20 Questions with me, which he hates. (I guess he did not grow up playing this game. Who knew? He thinks it is utterly stupid. I think it's really just because he's mad he can't always guess it.) But we were entertained and ended up laughing pretty hard. And the stars were cool.
This is not the end of the camping story though. We woke up to wind and rain the next morning! boo! We laid our tent for what seemed like forever, so when we realized it wasn't getting any better, we decided to just pack up and leave. The forecast had said it was supposed to be sunny, so we didn't even bring our rain fly or any tarps. And I was in no mood to sit in a poncho and cook some eggs over the fire. So we packed up and got the heck out of there, thinking it was about 10:30 or 11. Well we got in the car and guess what time it was, 8:30! Holy cow! So we headed right back to Boise and had a delicious breakfast at IHOP. No regrets there! We headed home and slept for a few hours then went shopping and made some Dutch oven cobbler to finish the evening! Turned out to be a pretty good Memorial Day after all.
Puppy Graduation
Lucy graduated from Puppy Class! She passed everything of course. She is smart. Super-smart, now that she has an official diploma! (You think I'm kidding, but I'm not!)
I have had multiple requests for this picture so here it is! She was super mad about the whole hat thing. She wouldn't even look at me for like 20 minutes after.
LOST Party!
We had a big bash to celebrate the ending of Lost... it was so fun! Amber and Brady ended up putting it on at Brady's parents' house. Collin and I actually just got into Lost about a year and a half ago, but between renting, borrowing, and the internet we have watched every single episode. Pathetic? Maybe. Waste of time? Maybe. But entertaining, and a great way to spend an otherwise boring evening? Yes.

Collin's Warnings
So tonight we were at Merritt's with Jodee and Andrea, and as we were discussing getting Tara over here for the Women's Fitness Celebration in September, Collin said he would be happy to entertain Paul if Tara brought him along. He said he would "tell him what's up" with our family.
So of course we had to find out what that is.
Doesn't everyone wonder what an outsider thinks of their family? We got the scoop on what Collin's words of wisdom would be to a newcomer to the family.
(Family be warned--he is joking. I think.)
Here are Collin's words of wisdom on . . .
ANDREA: Don't underestimate her due to her dainty, delicate look, because her voice bellows above all others when she wants to be heard.
JODEE: Don't be fooled by her seeming ditziness. She is actually smart. Somewhere under there.
ALEX: Has a distinct super power of taking everything literally. And come on, he is a nerd.
CORY: The perceived black sheep of the family because he likes to get under the skin of everyone. He is good at making shrill voices and playing the piano really loud.
TARA: Beware when she gets with Tonya because you will hear a lot of strange voices (then he quotes "taaara.... tuuuun....")
SAM: A less cool Alex.
MEGAN:The quiet winner. She may not be obnoxious like the rest, but she wins every game.
TONYA: Is perfect, of course. Just know you're getting second best with Tara. sorry.
DAD: If you are looking for someone to give you quick advice without beating around the bush in a short amount of time, look somewhere else. :)
MOM: Sporty planner with lots of control. Sort of like an air-traffic controller, directing the flight of so many things going on. Often makes stressed emergency calls. When this happens, get out of the house!
