Alright, so I have a new calling. The Primary Chorister! I know. I just about died. That, besides ward organist (which I also just got called as), has always been the calling I've hoped I never get. I know it seems silly, but having to sing in front of so many kids week after week has always seemed like it would be torture to me!!
Nevertheless.... Sunday is my first day as the new Singing Time lady! To be honest, it's nice to have something to actually "do" beyond sit behind the piano for 2 hours with no one to talk to and playing the same song for Singing Time over and over for 20 minutes. I am excited to come up with creative ways to have fun, and hey, teaching music is what I do anyway, right? But this is like, way easier than notes and rests and accidentals and ear training! (well, hopefully.)
SO all you fab ladies out there who have been Primary Chorister or are currently right now,
hook me up! Any great ideas, or websites, books or whatever? I need all the help I can get!
Wish me luck! :)

Congrats on the new calling! I'll have to email you ideas that our chorister comes up with! She is a very creative person and usually has something for every month/ holiday. For Jan we usually have a snowman for when they sing the songs well they get to build a snowman with all the parts on the board, balls, coal, scarf, hat, ect...the kids love it.
I do nursery music and I LOVE it!
Wow, I'm way behind on reading blogs. I have missed a ton of your awesome posts. I too am a Harry nerd and have reread the books probably at least 5 times. I also need to branch out so let me know if you find any good reads. Merry Christmas sweet girl!
