We celebrated Collin's birthday a day early since he had his first match the night of his birthday. And my dad just happened to be in town on business and for a funeral, so it was fun to all get together. We went out to Golden Corral (Collin's choice obviously), and had a good time. Then Collin got to open his presents.... he got some good ones if I do say so myself!

I gave him the scrapbooks that I slaved over for the first 6 months of this past year, while he was away on all his wrestling trips and his Costa Rica trips. A lot of you came over and saw them during that time or I showed them to you after... anyway, I had almost forgotten about them but thankfully I remembered to wrap them up! He spent a looong time looking through them which is good I guess. The reason I made them (yes, them--there are TWO huge ones!) was because Collin's mom gave me a big box of his stuff from school-pictures, certificates, and of course there are tons of sports pictures and newspaper articles. So I did my best to organize it all without asking Collin and put it all together! That is why I haven't scrapbooked since June! I got totally burnt out! But I hope Collin will enjoy having all his stuff in one place to look through.
He also got some $$ from both our parents as a starter for our Argentina trip fund! That's right! Collin's mission reunion is going to be in Buenos Aires next November so we are going to go! hopefully.
Collin got a few other things... some new shoes (is anyone else's husband completely incapable of buying shoes themselves so the wife has to give them to them for like every occasion??) and some book by Dan Gable (hey, if you know the name you know why he loves it!) and well, it's been so long I can't remember what else.

Here is his beautiful cake complete with the yummy ice cream--the frosting is homemade fudge frosting! oh yeah!
Too bad we were all way too stuffed to enjoy any of it. I warned those guys that if we went to Golden Corral that's what would happen, but who listens to me? :)
