Elan- 1 month

How on earth did I get so lucky to be this guy's mom? I ask myself this every day. I still can't believe he's here, what a miracle. He is absolutely a dreamboat. I get lost in those big dark eyes and he is so easy going. We did have some issues with formula and were worried that he might be developing a milk allergy. (like, a big red weird rash on his face after every bottle and a whole bunch of other weird symptoms that made him really sad), but after a visit to the doc and switching to sensitive formula he got back on track to his happy self. He is very observant. In the car he is just looking out the window the whole time. He loves to just look around. He is absolutely enamored with his big sister and she takes such good care of him. If he's getting fussy (rare) and she comes around he calms right down and just watches her. I seriously love every minute of them being siblings together, something I have prayed for for a long time. Love this guy so much!

My absolute favorite! He's in this at least once a day. He loves it too. That little head peeking out... be still my heart! He just sits there and stares at me. Until he falls asleep. :)

I asked Collin to take a picture of the face rash he was getting after eating..... got a nice full-body shot instead, ha ha. But really, you can kind of see it. Poor guy.

Elan likes:
-being swaddled
-snuggling
-being held
-sleeping
-looking around, especially watching Ashlyn
-eating every 2-3 hours (slowly killing mom and dad from lack of sleep, but we survived)

Elan doesn't really like:
-diaper changes
-any time he is naked
-any time he is cold
-any time he is not swaddled
-bathtime
-getting strapped into his carseat
-binky. I force it on him anyway!

He is such a cute little guy! I'm so glad that he is pretty calm - what a blessing for you guys. He'll get used to sleeping more too, the sleepless nights will be gone and you can just enjoy having a baby in the house again. Thank you for your posts, I enjoy them very much. You are always in my prayers.
