TAKE STEPS FOR CROHN'S AND COLITIS--in BOISE!!
It has been my dream ever since I first heard of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation that someday, hopefully, Idaho would be able to participate in the fabulous events CCFA puts on in raising awareness and money for Crohn's and Colitis. Finally!!!
The event was beyond awesome. I was so overwhelmed by the support of my family and friends, and the general number of people who came to support the event! I really had an overwhelming moment right after they started the walk--that all 400+ people who were there walking were all here for one thing--Crohn's and colitis. It was really powerful to me, especially given the fact that when I had colitis it was virtually unknown to me and definitely to everyone else I knew. I so, so wish that I had known about CCFA when I had it, it would have been a huge help to meet others in my same situation. But even though I can't go back and change what I did while I was sick, I felt such a strong spirit that my involvement in this is worthwhile. I have met so many amazing people, not just in working on Take Steps, but in the support group, education conferences, Camp Oasis, and more. I'm so thankful that I don't have to deal with colitis anymore, but even more thankful that I am hopefully able to make a difference to someone who has it, or at least to be able to be involved with something I find worthwhile.
Here's some pics of our fabulous team, THE SEMI-COLONS ;)

THE BEST TEAM! Thank you so, so much to our fabulous team! You guys are the best. It was amazing to have so many of our beloved family and friends there for a cause that is very, very dear to me. Team SEMI-COLONS raised over $1000 towards research in finding a cure for Crohn's and colitis! You guys are the best, thanks again! We love you!

Yes, it really was a fun walk. Even though Mom and Dad thought it was a race.
