Camping Trip!

We were lucky to be able to go camping with my family, my Aunt Elise, Uncle Ray, and some of my cousins. It was so fun! I'm hoping we can make it a tradition every year. We ended up at Wildhorse campground--which is basically in the middle of nowhere if you don't know where it is. I guess I should clarify--it's not in the middle of nowhere, it's the middle of the Idaho mountains and very pretty. It's where we went quite often when I was a kid so it brought back some fun memories. The whole crew! I love you guys!
My adorable sisters and cousins--McKae, Cecily, Jodee, and Andrea
Jodee has a weird talent of taking really funny-looking dorky pictures, as you can see from this one.
The boys--Alex, Brennon, Sam and Jake (who had just gotten home from his mission to Albania 1 week before!)
Jesslyn rocking the frisbee!

My favorite part of camping!!!
My other favorite part of camping!! (don't bother me, I'm eating!)
The best picture we could get of Aunt Lise . . .

The newlyweds . . .

Attempting a card game . . . before Alex came and crashed it!

Love my sistas!
Mom, me and Aunt Lise--with Sam being obnoxious in the background. We attempted to hike up the Fall Creek Trail to a lake... but when the trail ended at this waterfall, we followed a deer trail up a mountain thinking it was the trail... but after some serious bushwhacking we realized it wasn't. Back at the "trail head" we came to find out that we hadn't gotten on the trail--just on the path to the scenic overlook. Duh. It was fun anyway.

Especially because I got to see Mom do some awesome bushwhacking. Go Mom!

While Uncle Ray, Collin and I enjoyed the luxury of being inside the truck, these guys took a ride in the back--this was what we did instead of going on the actual hike. I had forgotten how much my dad likes just "driving" around in the mountains. It bores me to tears but he loves it so we spent a couple hours doing that. (no offense Dad! It was fun anyway!)
After we ate lunch at a little pull-off in the trees (what else would you call that?) the boys set out to hike up to Bellas Lake. While us girls.... went back to camp and.... slept and cooked. :)
Sounds like it was a really fun hike. Steep but fun is what Collin says.

Collin enjoying Bellas Lake . . . apparently Sam was rather anxious to get back down to his wife so they didn't stay very long.

Big Booty game! I was the master, by far! Second to me were Aunt Lise and Jake! We played this for over an hour I think. And had some delicious dutch oven chicken waiting for us when we finally quit. (Aunt Lise's thumbs were sore the next day, if that tells you how intense the game was!!)
Collin got a good bike ride in with Sam but didn't take the camera. On our last morning Collin and I went on a short ride around the area.

I put away my "I'm too old" 24-ishness to play night games with the crew--both nights! I am quite proud. And it really turned out to be funner than I thought it would be. Something about sneaking around the mountains trying to get the flag is kind of exciting! :)
Collin and I split off on our own when we all left camp Wednesday afternoon, since Boise's in the opposite direction. 2 things were not good about that trip home: 1) It was over 4 hours! Waay to long and I was not expecting it to take for-ever! 2) This freaking cliff we had to drive right alongside of! It was a 1-lane road all along the top of a canyon with steep sides. I did enjoy the view of a waterfall for like 2 seconds in between gripping the sides of my seat with white knuckles and looking straight ahead . . . :)
Thanks again for the great trip, Mom Dad and everyone else! It was great to be along with you guys, and to be able to play while you took up most of the hard work! Love you!

That's it. I don't care what is going on next summer. I'M GOING CAMPING WITH YOU GUYS NEXT TIME. It looks like it was so much fun and I know it was because our family is crazy!
