We took a day trip to Boise the second weekend of July! It ended up being our whole family--the lady who had verbally committed to renting our house (she committed to it back in May and here it was July) had just backed out so we listed it and Collin had 10 showings lined up.
The trip started out BAD--I was in such a bad mood because after we dropped Collin off at our house. Ugh it looked awful. I picked up trash--yes, TRASH--for like 10 minutes off the front lawn and landscaping. There was junk everywhere. Not to mention there was permanent puff-paint on one of the front windows, dead grass all along the far side of the driveway with weeds as tall as Ashlyn, broken fence, broken light fixtures, closet doors broken and removed, front door frame damaged and damage to the sheet rock, all blinds ruined. I could go on and on with the list. These renters are probably not getting a PENNY of their deposit back unless they are some sort of miracle-workers. I am so happy they're out of there.
Anyway.... so after seeing the bad condition of the house I was really discouraged because who would want to rent that place? Not me. Thankfully the trip got way better fast--we met up with our buddies at a splash pad and hung out there all morning, had lunch there, and my sweet friends had even gotten a birthday cake for an early birthday celebration for me! They really are the best. Ashlyn had a blast, especially with her little Addison buddy.
We ran our usual errands of Trader Joe's and Dunkley Music in the afternoon, and then there was more fun! We had a girls night at The Reef for my birthday! For real, the best friends!! I miss Boise, the restaurants, fun stuff to do, shopping, and most of all my FRIENDS so, so much! I love going to visit but it's also hard because I'm always so sad when I leave! Oh well I need to just enjoy the visits! We had a great time at The Reef, I love that place. We got these free giant nachos for some reason and so we we were all too full to eat the food we actually ordered, ha ha. Collin met up with Dustin and his girls at Chick fil A and then they hung out at the Golds' until us girls got back. It was a late night getting home but it was totally worth it! Such a fun trip! Love you girls!
