Running Update . . .

For those of you wondering (I know you're all dying in suspense) about my 5K "training" I started 10 weeks ago--I have NOT quit! In fact, I have not missed my running goal a single week for the entire 10 weeks! Can I get a WOOT!

I did take off the entire week of camp.. but since we were there overlapping 2 weeks, I did have to do a 3-miler once. And I did it! I was very proud of that. I've run in IF, Boise, California, and Collin and I even went on a 3-mile trail run outside our campground last weekend. I've actually surprised myself and keeping my goals so well! I have been running 3 miles twice a week and 2 miles once a week for about 4 weeks now. Today I did 3.5 and I think I'm getting better at it, slowly but surely.

THE 5K IS THIS WEEKEND! I am not expecting amazing results, my goal is to FINISH! (I know, I reach for the stars! Wait, what is that saying again, "reach for the moon, and even if you don't reach it you land among the stars" or something? Basically justifying mediocrity?!! ha ha, that is so me with this!)

Anyway . . . I have one more 2-mile run tomorrow and I will be DONE getting ready for this! It has been really enjoyable doing something new to work out for the summer. I definitely want to do a couple more this fall while I am "in shape" to run--so holla back if you've got any good ones, and don't mind jogging along with me!

Tonya that's so great! Seriously, that's something to be proud of. I personally hate running, but I did a 5k back in May and I made it through. So if I can do it, you definitely can. Good luck this weekend!
