Yes, you guessed it. Collin and I spent a day at Disneyland, finally. I have been begging my hubby for a trip there well, since I've known him I think. I have great memories of going on family vacations to both Disney parks, so I was very, very excited to get a birthday present from Collin of none other than--a trip to Disneyland!

It was such a long day! We were there for 14 hours! We got our money's worth! And I love that place! I am seriously Disneyland's superfan. You know I'm not into like, "disney characters", that sort of thing--but words can't describe how much I love the detail, cheer, and general FUN of the happiest place on earth!
WARNING: Super picture-overload below!

The only ride we waited over 20 minutes for--Nemo's adventure or something? Worth it though. They are so creative!

Kissing my prince . . .

Surprise!

Arrrr! I love Pirates of the Caribbean! They had added some dudes from the movies since I last went on it! Super cool!

awww . . . the photographer totally posed us for this one!

YUM!

We saw a cool parade---you may know that my dream as a little girl was to be a dancer in the Disneyland parades! No joke! It's like, the ultimate audience at the funnest place! I got over that, obviously.... but I was still impressed by their enthusiasm and skill--given it was like 100 degrees.

Collin LOVED Fast passes! I'm not kidding, I had to
run to keep up with him as we sped past the people waiting in the "standby" line. This was his first experience with them, and well, you can probably picture how enthused he was. He thought it was absolutely
awesome.

This was supposed to be me jumping into the air as we walk by everyone in the fast pass lane--didn't quite work out.

Yes, I turned the flash off! They had totally redone It's a Small World since I had last been there! It is so great! Plus, who doesn't like little electronic kids singing about World Peace??

Heck to the YES! My favorite ride of all time, Splash Mountain. I'm sorry to say we only went on it once. The lines were insane, even with a Fast pass.

Here we are . . . with our friends the Wongs. JUST KIDDING! They were nice people though. And we did get wet. Sorry Collin's head is kind of cut off by the number. I guess that's not there when you actually pay for the picture.

So you wouldn't think standing in line after line all day works up an appetite--but turns out it does! We were so incredibly famished that evening, we ate at this great place the French Market-- muy muy delicioso!!! PLUS, how can you beat the atmosphere of New Orleans Square?? So so fun.

I tried to take like 100 pictures of the fireworks and our camera was being absolutely retarded. And . . . all day I had been saying that it didn't seem that different coming in August from when I have always previously come--in like October or January. But I did notice a huge difference in trying to watch fireworks! My gosh! If you want to be herded like cattle . . . there you go. It was a wee bit claustrophobic trying to get 10 feet ahead and it taking like 45 minutes. But we did survive, and really, when they put on a show there they do it right. It was great.
We skipped the other show--Fantasmic-- to do Indiana Jones, our final ride of the night! We were so done after that! But it was great!

Trying to keep our eyes open as we waited for our shuttle. . . whew having fun is so much work. ha ha! It was a fabulous day though!

Hey you! Just found your blog. Awesome! Looks like a fun trip. I am so jealous.
How fun!
How fun! Roger actually had never been to either of the parks before we were married, but we were able to go a couple of years ago to Orlando - he absolutely loved it. I'm glad you guys had sooo much fun at the happiest place in the world!!!
