Lagoon

Lagoon was fabulous--although next year I am definitely not competing 4 dances. Too many! I thought it would be so fab to have so many different chances to perform and {hopefully} do well since we make the trip down just to dance, but I was so tanked by the end of our last performance! I think what made it worse was that 2 of our dances were first thing in the morning, and I mean first thing--8:30 and 9:30. (which means we had to be there at 7:30, which means we left at 6:30, which means I got up at 5:30)--and the other 2 weren't until 1:00 and 2:00. It was a weird schedule, and as you know I am most definitely not an early morning person in the first place.
The pics from Nationals never turn out good . . . and there are no videos I can upload due to Collin not being able to find our video camera. We danced all 4 on the same stage. . . Never Been--was my favorite! I think it's my favorite now. It's short and sweet, has lots of yells and arm motions, and I really like dancing with the big group.
Sweet.... the hardest clogging dance I've ever learned, that's for sure. (I'm front left corner) I was just happy to make it through this one. We had some rough rehearsals and some kids barely showed up in time to perform.... then the music was completely jacked! We couldn't hear it, and it was too slow! We had to do it over. 2nd time was better, but man, I really feel like an old fat lady when I do this dance. I am seriously suckin air by the end!!

We did manage to have some fun though.... we rode lots of kiddie rides with Scottie and Aiden, and this pretty face:

Tyler and Mark met up with us for a little while too--this is a cute picture of the guys.

Our ride partners for the day

Nana and Scottie.... he most likely was getting into trouble!
After Collin's parents left with the boys, Collin, Tara and I stuck around for another couple of hours to ride some big-kid rides! We made it through like 3 or 4, but by then I was so toast, and I think the others were too. So we left at like 6:00 . . . didn't exactly get our moneys worth of our Lagoon passes but at that point I really didn't care. Collin and I met up with Tyler and Mark again at Cafe Rio.... my first time! And let me say we will be going back many more times. I think it needs to be a new Utah tradition!
Anyways, thanks everyone for coming and watching me dance and having some fun with us at Lagoon! We miss you guys!

I don't know if you know this, but you have accomplished something amazing with your camera! I have never seen Nana pose for a picture. I looked at the picture for a minute and thought something doesn't seem right...oh, Nana is facing the camera! Sounds like a lot of fun. Feel free to come to Disney World and take all the kids you want from this house :) Congrats on the dancing!

I can't believe it was your first time trying Cafe Rio! Isn't it the best? I go there at least once a month, if not more. Anyway, looks like good times in Lagoon. Way to keep up those dancin' skills. Oh, and congrats on being a certified teacher of music. You're a girl of many talents!
