Our ward never does anything as a ward, especially no parties or anything like that, so we had a young-couples-in-the-ward Cinco de Mayo party at our house Saturday. It was so fun! And we got to know some great people better too. Everyone brought delicious Mexican food and we had fun playing games and chowing down.
Attempt at the piñata!
Another attempt--funny story about the piñata, we decided to go in order from youngest to oldest.... I was the youngest! And guess who was the oldest, out of like 12 people--Yes, Collin. ha ha!
Collin never got a turn... Brady busted it open! Then it was a mad rush, (well, of the guys anyways, and of course Jacqui had to get Amberlyn in on the action). So I had to get a shot of that. They stuffed their shirts.
Of all the nasty desserts, in my opinion flan takes the cake. But Collin was so excited to make it, and it did actually turn out. And surprisingly there were quite a few people who really like flan also! So like, half of it got eaten, which he considered success. (I don't think he would have cared if no one but him had eaten it). For the record, I did eat like 2 bites, and that was enough for me. So you can't say I didn't try it. (again--that happens every time Collin is eating flan)
Thanks for coming everyone! We had a great time! You guys are awesome!

Please plan another party so we can come! We were so bummed!
Flan splan! Yuck! That looked like a bueno fiesta! Let's hang out. (without the flan!) ;) Jk Senior!
What a great idea! I love the picture of all the guys grabbing the candy...so predictable!
I like flan. I like to eat it.
We had a lot of fun - you probably thought we were total flakes (I promise, we really still had a TON of things to get done before the end of the night...and still didn't get everything done). Thanks for inviting us!!!!
