Crafts!

I have really been in the mood to be crafty these days.... but I feel like I am having a hard time balancing everything as it is, so I did manage to whip out a couple of things, which really just made me want to do more! Someday soon, I hope. These little carrots are so cute! I actually got the idea online because I was trying to find a fun craft to do with my little sisters while I was in IF all week for Spring Break... well Andrea totally bailed and "wasn't interested" and that left Jodee, who managed to finish one. So I made like 10 while we watched the Biggest Loser one night! They are super easy and cute. I still need to find a cute little basket to put them in.

Ashlyn's bow holder! I am proud of this one! I got the idea from my cousin Lyssa originally... she had been making them to sell at a farmer's market, I think. I couldn't remember what she used for the top part though, so I just used an old board sign that I knew I would never hang up again. I repainted it then sanded it, and went and got some cute little letters and some cute ribbon. I think the whole thing cost me like $8. Not too shabby considering this stinker already has more bows than I had room to put anywhere!
The most genius part is the loops at the bottom--they are hooked together with velcro so I can keep all her billions of headbands handy!

The finished product with some bows on it already--she has already gotten like 10 more. I'm telling you. It's just too fun! Anyway, I think it turned out pretty well.

One more close up of the top--it is scrapbook paper mod-podged onto the wood. Then of course I did use some spray glitter, I may be using that a lot on crafts for the little one! :)
