Our Spring Break was backwards in a lot of ways. For one thing, we went on a lightning-speed trip down to Utah in a BLIZZARD to see Collin's DAD laid up in the HOSPITAL. Then we stayed up all NIGHT with the little muchkin and drove ALL DAY (or so it seemed) for a couple of days. A main backwards thing was that Collin LEFT ME and the babe to go to Virginia Beach for 5 days to a wrestling tournament (don't. get me started.), so I stayed in IF for most of the week.
But the main reason I put this post is backwards is because.... I uploaded the pics backwards! You can figure it out.
Dad, Mom, and Jodee drove me and Ashlyn back to Boise on Thursday, and stayed until Friday afternoon before heading back home.
Ashlyn's "tent" as Collin calls it! She loves this thing. She is starting to coo and make little excited noises, and she does it a lot when she's playing with this stuff! I LOVE it!! Friday afternoon (after I had taken Ash to the doctor--because yes, she got SICK in Idaho Falls! break my heart!) Mom, Jodee and I went on a major shopping spree at Target and Babies R US! I blew all the cash and gift cards we had received and came home with a trunk full of baby stuff! She now has bedding, a diaper genie, her own Boppy, bigger bottles, a vaporizer, a white noise fan..... and more. It was like Christmas. But also nice to get a chance to feel like I have properly gotten all the baby stuff I need.
In IF Andrea and I made a bunch of marshie pops-- so pretty. Guess how long they lasted once they were cooled. Like half an hour. We all ate like 20 each.
Ash hung out in the Snugli while we made them! I think she looks hilarious in this thing. And it is super great to have my hands free but have her so close when she is kind of sad.
When we first got to IF we had a family (plus Kaylin and her mom, considered family to me!) Baby Shower! It was so fun. I need to get the pictures from all our baby showers still to post on here (hint hint to those of you who have them!:). Anyway, Great Grandma Swackenberg flew over from Denver just to meet Ashlyn! It was really great. This is her first great grandchild!
Our 4-Generation picture! All of us are oldest children in our families too! So 4 generations..... of oldest child girls!
The shower was fun and it was great to see everyone and for everyone to get to meet the sweet babe.
And that was approximately spring break in reverse. wahoo.
