We just recently (last week) decided we should probably get back into the habit of having FHE on a regular basis. We usually would do something fun together, but then again we do that most nights so we figured why not take turns being in charge and really have FHE. (shout out to my family--"Family Home Evening is CANCELLED!!" name that quote!)
So Target had this deal where you could buy a game that was on sale and get a 2-liter of mountain dew and bag of Doritos all for $15. I went for it--because I have been searching the thrift stores for Monopoly forever and thought it was good enough to buy this one new. Yay! Now we are proud owners.
Anyway--so we headed to our favorite Chinese place (which is SO far away--North End Chinese. I really need recommendations for something closer!!) and got our faves, then I did a little lesson about finances and.... we played Monopoly! What better to teach you a lesson about managing your money, right! And that is so true--guess who won (i.e., who is better with their finances??), I'm sure you could guess it was Collin. Oh well. It was fun anyway. It only took him 2 hours to totally cream me.
Anyone wants to come play, come on over! ;)

What a fun idea! We need to be better about FHE too...life just seems to happen every monday and it never happens to be FHE! haha....i'm sure many people relate! :) By the way, if you haven't noticed i'm stalking you as well :-)!
I am so there! Oh yah, I have kids. NO wonder I never get to play games.
I wish we lived close enough to come and play Monopoly!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I am STILL laughing from the infamous FHE quote Dad would say to us EVERY WEEK. HAHAHAHAHA!
We never even did anything that bad, did we? ;)
