Running Update

Well I made it through my first week training for a 5K. I feel stupid even saying that I'm "training" because well, it's just 3 miles. BUT, as I said before, my relationship with running has really been in the crapper ever since, well, ever. So I'm really giving it another try this time. I have a great program that will get me all ready in 9 weeks. So around the end of July I will be hopefully heading to Utah to run one with dear sis. PLUS, it's not like I'm not somewhat in shape. I have been regularly exercising at least 3 days a week for well, years. So I guess my point is that I have no good excuse for not at least trying to do some running. Plus I need something different now that I teach each morning at the times I would normally be going to aerobics and weight training classes.

So, just to keep myself motivated, I think I'll post my progress on here each week, granted that I remember to do so.

This week:
Tues-ran 1.5 miles (torture!!)

Thurs-ran 1.5 miles (I brought a magazine on the treadmill this time and the time FLEW by!!)

Sat-ran 1.7 miles (didn't mean to do extra--but this was my outdoor run and when I clocked it later I found out there was a good reason I was dying the last couple of blocks!!)
