Can you believe how everything always seems to happen at once? It does for me anyways. It seems like it was only a few days ago that I was leisurely laying out every afternoon and then spending the evenings watching Lost while Collin was in Costa Rica and I had absolutely nothing to do. Compare that to this past week and we're talking serious multiple personality disorder or something.

It all started with the shirts. As you know, of course, Take Steps was last Saturday. I had a great plan for our team shirts to be these cute tie-dyed masterpieces with our team name on them. If you see this picture you may think, "wow those did turn out really great." And that is what Chaly, Laci and I did think as we finished the
first round. Yes, the first round. Unfortunately something went wrong in the dying process because well, I don't think words can explain the horror I felt as I pulled 20 dingy, greenish-gray tie-dyed shirts from my washer just a few fateful hours after this picture was taken.

Wednesday we went to Alive after 5--it was Collin's and my first time ever going to it. Ryan Shupe was the concert and it was SO great. For the first hour Collin and I sat up right by the stage and enjoyed some great music. And also enjoyed/were revolted by the many drunk, high weirdies dancing around in front of the stage. Yes, there were men in skirts and no, I didn't get a chance to ask one why he was wearing leg warmers. We later met up with Cam, Chaly, Laci, and a couple of friends of Cam and Chaly's and enjoyed the rest of the concert. It was SO packed on the Grove, it was crazy. I ran into a few people I haven't seen in forEVER, so that was fun. It's crazy you never know who you will run into. We all ended up eating at Guido's which is still one of my favorite pizza places.

And of course Collin couldn't resist making me stop by this amateur boxing match at the Qwest Arena on our way back to our car. Dude, whatever. I am
so not a fan of boxing, amateur or not.

Round 2 of the shirts... ended up being pretty fun. We had the Jones and Caspersons over for dinner (which Laci was awesome to pretty much bring!) and for us girls to try one more time to get the stupid shirts right. Well, it was 11:00 and pitch dark outside by the time we finished, and in the dim light of my back porch we thought the shirts looked pretty great! Then we started bringing them in and found out . . . they were green!! It was so ridiculous thankfully we were all so tired we got a good laugh out of it. (that and a few other hilarious things)

. . . at least we had some fun! The boys even chipped in a little bit.
Thanks again, Chaly and Laci! You guys were serious life-savers!!

The final shirts: front and back.
I make it seem like all I had to do last week was the shirts.. but they were just the icing on the week that was already filled with tons of piano scheduling and billing, cleaning (company was coming!), IMTA newsletter writing, outlook-trying-to-set-up, teaching, running, and pretty much everything else you can think of. THANK GOODNESS for friends who can help out and husbands who are patient! and thank goodness last week is over!
