Fun Visit

Whenever people come to visit I am usually pretty bad about taking pictures so I can put up fun posts later, and of course last weekend was no exception. Dad and Alex came to visit--well it was really just Dad who actually stayed with us--Alex came over for a Cross Country race and stayed with his team. (which Collin was very proud of, being a coach, by the way.) It was fun to spend some time with Dad, since it doesn't seem like I get to very often. He is the best dad ever! My dad is really the nicest, most helpful, funniest, and just greatest in general (I won't go on and on) person I know! (besides my husband . . . )
Anyways, I had a clogging show at the Womens Fitness Celebration that night so Dad and Collin came to watch--after getting some burgers at the Centennial concessions Collin had been working at. It was nice that they came to watch--hmmm, I think the last time my dad saw me clog was in like 1998. It was probably a weird flashback for him! Anyway, after that the boys picked up some pizzas and salads on their way home and we had a fun evening eating and chatting, and then watching the sports replays on the news! ;)
The next morning, this is what I put Dad to work doing: Trying to fix the drain in one of our showers! It drains really slow, and he didn't really have any luck fixing it but he came up with some good theories of what is wrong with it. I had to take a pictures because it was funny that it would appear that this is what we put our guests to work--fixing up our house! (which totally isn't really true, we were just kind of bored.) It was pouring rain and thunder and lightning when we got up, so we wondered for a brief moment if Alex's race would be cancelled...but as I learn more about this CC sport I realize that is not hardly ever the case, which I guess is props to the athletes but as a fan it sucks! And I'm not even the one who has to run the actual race!!
It did clear up though--after Dad and I spent a fun morning in Cabela's. :)
There he is, in like 100th place or so . . . j/k, really don't know what place, but I cheered lots with my awesome I.F. Tigers seat cover!! And I ran into Caley, one of the sweetest girls I know who was in YW with me in the old ward, who had just gotten done running, and she stuck around and cheered for Alex with me.
There's the champ now .... To sum up the rest of the weekend we went back home, had some snacks, cleaned up and watched the BSU game. (not my idea of the best way to spend the afternoon, but I was surrounded by men.) And we saw them off! Short but fun trip. Thanks for coming guys!

I think the medal color for 100th place is aqua marine or something! ;0
