We had a pretty interesting weekend. My family had been planning to come over to Boise to visit us (all 8 of them)--mainly to watch the BSU-BYU basketball game. But sadly, the weather ended up being bad enough that they couldn't make the trip. SO, at the last minute Collin and I ended up with 10 tickets to the game, and a free night at a hotel. Random! My dad needed to use up a couple of hotel nights, so we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott downtown Friday night. It was fun, and weird. . . staying in a hotel here in town. But it was a fun get-away to go hot-tubbing and sleep in a huge bed and everything. We were really bummed to not have everyone come visit, but we're glad they didn't end up stranded in a blizzard or something! And thanks for hooking us up anyways, Dad!
Collin chillin' in our room . . .
BSU vs. BYU! It was packed . . . with Mormons! :) There were lots of BYU fans, but still more BSU fans. We cheered for BSU of course. It was a REALLY exciting game--BSU was the underdog and came back from behind in the last quarter and won by 3 points.
These were our seats--we ended up taking a few deacons from our ward and also the bishopric/wives. It was fun, and a different group of people than we usually hang out with, so it was fun to spend some time with people we usually only see at church.
