I finally put up a few updates on here. I am determined to keep up our journal! So keep scrolling. The ones I put in from my phone are SO weird with having to scroll forever to get to the beginning of the post. Sorry.
I just wanted to put in one more update, since there are a few of you who read this that I don't talk to super regularly--you know who you are, and I miss you!! :)
Anyway, the update is about Collin's job. He's switching jobs. Again! Yes, it's true. That will be 4 jobs in 4 years! Not what either of us would ever have anticipated 4 years ago, or even 6 months ago, that's for sure! Collin is going to be leaving the education field and venturing into the private sector. He is going to be finishing out this school year as assistant principal/athletic director at Jerome Middle School, and then in June he will begin at his new job, Human Resources manager at Aardema Dairy Group. Yep, he is going to be working for a dairy group. Not something we ever would have thought would happen! But, it's the right choice for him and our family. It's a really big blessing, actually. This decision was a really long one. He didn't go looking for a new job, he has really been enjoying his current job a lot! But they were heavy on recruiting him. He got to know one of the main managers there through coaching wrestling at JMS this winter, and he felt Collin was perfect for this job. It's actually a new job they're creating that they've been waiting for the right person to come along to hire for it. It has been a long process of meetings with the CFOs and managers, onsite training, Collin doing a presentation with his ideas and suggested changes for the managers and CFO, then them making compensation offers to him and us negotiating with that. Not to mention the thousands of hours it seems Collin and I spent discussing all the pros and cons, SO MANY HOURS!! And of course a lot of prayer and fasting too. In the end it is what's right for our family right now. Our biggest excitement is that with being able to actually have money to put aside into savings, we will hopefully be able to continue to grow our family more in the future. Money is a factor! It will be another year of a lot of changes with Collin again starting a new job. But he's committed to several years at this company, and we can't see things changing for a while. (ha ha, we've said that every year! Well, not the Gooding year.) As for our other plans... right now we know we will be staying in Jerome for at least one more year. We will even be staying in this house we are in right now. Yay for not moving again this summer! After a year... we will see what will happen. There's a good chance we will make a move to Twin Falls, but that is a ways down the road. Changes, changes!
