I turned 30! I always thought people were dumb for saying they felt old once they turned 30. But now I agree. I think it's something to do with the fact that I can remember my own parents being 30! Yikes! :) I had an awesome birthday! In a lot of ways it drove the knife in my heart about moving away in even further, just because I felt so spoiled by my awesome friends. But really I felt very special!
The fun began with my parents showing up the day before to surprise me! It's a funny story you can ask me, but poor Collin got the brunt of my anger while trying to keep it a surprise. Anyways, it was so nice of my parents to come. They stayed in a hotel, but the morning of my birthday Mom came to step class with me, and then we headed to the splash park and hung out with my bestest friends and their kids there for a few hours. Then we had ice cream cake my Dad got for me! THEN, Collin and I went on an awesome date. We still had an awesome restaurant.com gift card for Mai Thai and figured there was no better time to use it, so we had lots of delicious Thai food! Then we went to a movie, "Edge of Tomorrow," which I ended up really liking. It was an awesome birthday!
The fun continued on the next night with a girls night out with my buddies! We went to The Reef (yea!) and stayed there chatting for like, a couple hours! Then hung out at Cheryl's watching Pitch Perfect, shopping through Cheryl's necklaces, and eating gelato! Couldn't be a better girls night!
My friends are so awesome and spoiled me so much. Chandra and Cheryl literally had 30 gifts for me to open for my 30th birthday. For real! It was so fun. And now I have lots of fancy things like washi tape, metallic pencils, and a giant Toblerone as I move away to the booming metropolis of Jerome, ID. :)
