About a year ago, on the eve of school pictures, Collin and I had a brilliant idea--he should attempt to look as ridiculous as possible in his picture, since it really is stupid they have to get them taken every year. By that point it was too late for him to do much but spike up his hair and make a weird face in his picture, but we began plotting for the next year.
Collin decided the look he wanted was some nasty chops and over-grown hair. Then we ended up finding a sweet jacket at Savers (you will see it below) to complete the outfit. I thought it was such a great idea--until it dawned on me that I'm the one that has to live with "Beardy" here until picture day! I am not a fan of the bearded look per say, and especially not a fan of kissing said beard. So Mr. Robertson got quite a bit less action last month, all for the sake of the school picture. Was it worth it? We'll find out when we see that bad boy posted in the front hallway of the school.
So if anyone is interested in following in Collin's footsteps, I have listed the recipe for success as follows:
Step 1: Grow a gross beard. (at least he shaved his neck . . . )
Step 2: Shave into super-gross Hulk Hogan chops, and pair it with super ridiculous jacket.
(Optional step 3: Try to get your wife to pose with you while she's laughing hysterically)
Step 4: (This is after the picture, but he thought he'd have a bit more fun) AHHH! I am not joking when I say I couldn't even look at Collin without seriously laughing. He would be trying to tell me some serious story from work but looking at THIS? I couldn't even focus on what he was saying. All I saw was the guy who has to leave his porch light off on Halloween.
THANKFULLY the Nasty Stache only lasted a few hours! And Captain C is now beard free! hallelujah. And I don't have to deal with all the questions at church again for another year!

HAHAHA, I love it. I really really love it.
That is HILARIOUS!! Love the Jacket! It really puts it all together. How are you going to top that next year?
OHHH EMMMMM GEEEEEEEE!
You guys totally crack me up. I love your sense of humor, Collin. My brother was in law school and they didn't shave for some finals or something, and then he shaved but left this nasty mustache that made him look like he was on Cops or some 80s porno flick or something. It was totally funny. Isn't it about time we have another double date? Dinner, anyone? When does wrestling start?
Ha, ha, too funny! Can't wait to see the school picture! If we are going to meet up halfway we should do it before the weather gets bad, because we are moving in May! We should plan something!
Oh my goodness.
I was wondering why his hair was getting longer... This is so funny! I don't think I could stand the months it would take to see Sam like that. Too bad they can't just grow it in a day or two.
Tonya!! You better call me when you get to town, let me know the dates you will be here! It has been a while! I would love to help with wedding stuff if you guys need it!! We are kind of done for weddings for a little while in our family! :)
Oh man! Jason told me about his picture! He brought one home just so I could see it! I laughed so hard! The girls thought he looked weird! The stache picture looks like Kip (napoleon's brother)......Jason and I just sat here and laughed soooooo hard. You rock captain!
