Road Trip

I took a quick road trip to Idaho Falls this week--really, it was like 48 hours tops. It's definitely not my favorite thing driving alone all 250 miles, but it was nice to clear my head and also to take a couple of days off to visit my family. I met up with my old roommate and friend Ellen! Ellen has been living a crazy life--after she finished her mission in England she ended up marrying a Brit! (I always knew she would!) Sadly he is having Visa troubles so he is stuck in England while she's here going to school. I'm thinking of starting up the "Bring Simon to Idaho" coalition or something, so she can be with her hubby!!

Of course the main reason for the visit was the annual Gayle Tingey dance recital, which Andrea has been dancing in for 6 years now! She is so adorable up there dancing, and she loves it! Gayle Tingey is the teacher I had for dance for a few years when I was younger and it's always fun to go back and see all the cute little dancers, especially Andrea! (not that I'm proud of my little sister or anything)
I did Andrea's hair, and didn't get a very good shot of it, but it was so stinkin cute, if I do say so myself. It was fun chatting with her for the whole hour it took me, too!
So, this is what I woke up to Thursday morning, when I was supposed to drive back to Boise. 2 inches of snow!! It was crazy! Luckily the roads were fine, but it made me thankful that I'm living in Boise!
Oh, now to the saddest part of the story---My poor husband. While I was gone he came down with a sore throat and cold, and then ended up spraining his ankle playing church ball! This is what I came home to, the poor guy. He was so wiped out. It's a little funny, but also sad because the one time he got hurt I actually wasn't around to help him out!

Ohhh. Poor Collin. He looks so sad and pathetic laying there all alone - guess it was a good thing you were there to take the picture :) Truly, I am sorry and hope he is feeling better.
