Seattle!

We decided a couple of weeks ago that we wanted to take a fun trip for spring break--of course, at the last minute. But we ended up going to Seattle and it was so great! We had a ton of fun.

After spending Sunday night in Yakima with Collin's aunt, our first stop was Snowqualmie Falls--about an hour outside of Seattle. (with tons of awesome outlet stores nearby--Collin had to force me into the car to get me to stop shopping!)

Our hotel was right in downtown Seattle! It was so awesome, we got a deal on priceline so I was really nervous but it turned out to be great. We walked almost everywhere, and had a great view from our room. We ended up in a suite too, which was awesome.

The view from our room at night:
Some pics from a trip downtown on the monorail. . . this was the only warm day!
View from the top of the Space Needle
Experience Music Project--the coolest looking scultpure-building! This picture does not do it any justice. We actually went in, too. . .
More EMP . . .

Of course, compliments of Collin, we went to a Supersonics game--luckily they even won!

Some cool pics of Seattle at night. . .

We went to a session at the temple--it is really big! (Of course, compared to Boise!)

Of course, who goes to Seattle without visiting Pike Place Market. . . This was my favorite part! There was SO much cool stuff, it was the hugest market I've ever seen! I could have spent all day there.

Sadly, I really walked around looking like this for all of Tuesday. It was cold and rainy! Good thing there was still cool stuff to see and do, and it was worth it. Although next time I'm taking gloves!

We went to the aquarium right on the coast. It is cool because it's a natural habitat for lots of cool stuff. Plus, who doesn't like watching fish swim around? Especially this one. . .

Look in the background!

Our new friend

We took a ferry to Bainbridge island--the view was amazing. We explored some docks and had a great seafood dinner right on the coast.

The view coming back to Seattle

Pioneer Square--look close for the cool totem pole

Of course we found all the sports fields too. We seriously walked like 10 miles Wednesday, all over the place. In general, we walked TONS! It was cool to see all the sights, but we were totally wiped out each night!

It was such a great trip--it went by so fast! I'm glad we decided to go, and Collin is so great at getting everything planned out, and driving, too! Of course it doesn't really matter where we go. I'm so glad to be married to my best friend, who I have a blast with wherever I go! I love you, Collin!

What a fun trip! I have been to lots of those places and loved them too! Next time, you need to take a ferry to Victoria British Columbia and go to Butchart Gardens. You would love it!
