Little lover boy is 5 months old now! Hard to believe he was once our little, little squirt and he's now wearing size 9-12 month clothes. I wouldn't say he's outrageously chunky, but he's pretty solid! He's got a super great little double chin which makes his cheeks and neck unbelievably kissable.
He is Mr. Happy, and I love it! Every time I go in to get him out of his crib he has the hugest smile the minute he sees me. He doesn't just smile with his face--his whole body squiggles and squirms when he gets happy and excited--which happens a lot! It's very contagious!
He absolutely adores his big sister Ashlyn. So, so much. He loves to just sit and watch her, whatever she's doing. She's so sweet to him and is my helper with him too. She can get him to laugh quicker than anyone else. It makes me so excited for the future they have together as siblings. It's absolutely adorable!
At 5 months Elan likes:
Bathtime!!
Snuggling
Falling asleep on his own (not in someone's arms, :( )
Drooling, drooling, drooling (no signs of teeth though)
His mobile--laughs and squeals at it
Ashlyn--anything and everything about her
Being held--he got a little more clingy this month.
Riding around on Mom in the wrap--usually puts him right to sleep
Diaper changes--this is happy laughing time.
Grabbing stuff! He skipped straight over batting at objects and went straight to keeping his tight little fists locked on them.
Sleeping from about 7:00pm-5:00am, then after eating at 5:00 another 1.5-2 hours of sleeping
Smiling, laughing, being tickled....one happy dude.
Elan doesn't like:
Sitting in the Bumbo (for more than about 45 seconds)
Being remotely hungry (turns into hangry in about 1.5 minutes)
Keeping any sort of schedule, despite parents' endless efforts to create one
