We had some of our great friends over for a BBQ on Memorial Day. It was fun! Actually it ended up being like over 15 adults plus kids that came. And like 3 other families couldn't make it! So it was a decent sized party! We ate and chatted until it was past kids' bedtimes and therefore they all started having meltdowns. Ah the joy of overtired kids. Ashlyn saved her meltdown for after everyone left....but it was extra special! And I was thanking the heavens we had decided I would do the dishes and Collin would put her to bed before it even started! Lucky me! At one point I walked by the room and he was holding her flailing legs with one hand and pinning her down with his arm to change a poopy diaper. When she gets wound up in a tantrum/fit when she's super tired, it's like there's no return and she just gets more and more crazy! I'm sure every parent out there knows what I'm talking about.
Anyways, back to the BBQ, we had just spent ALL DAY and night Saturday doing a huge yard cleanup of both our front and backyard. So it was nice to have friends over right after we'd finally cleaned things up! I didn't get any good pictures, but I'm still posting these anyway.
