EI TRIP

Collin had an interview at Highland H.S. and since it was on a Friday afternoon, Ashlyn and I of course tagged along and after the interview we all headed up to I.F. to spend the weekend! It was a quick but fun trip. Actually since I went along and felt so involved in the interview process, it ended up being LAME when he didn't get the job because I had become really excited about it and attached already to the idea of living over there! boo. But things all work out for a reason.....

Anyway, I drove most of the way so Collin could study for his interview. During which I sang along to the Wicked soundtrack at the top of my lungs, of course. And Ashlyn watched Dora. A day in the life of the Robertsons! 

We dropped Collin off at Highland and went off in search of a McDonald's, since it was way too wicked cold and windy to play at the park. Luckily we found a nice one with a big, new indoor playland. We chilled there for like an hour during the interview, then after picking Collin up we headed up to visit family!

This girl LOVES the air dryers in public bathrooms! Especially the crazy high-speed ones. She sticks her hands in and squeals and jumps with delight. Here she is pretty excited about washing her hands at McDonald's.

We were only visiting my parents (and Andrea) for like a day, but we were so glad Cory and Hayley and Adalyn came over to hang out for a while! Addy is beyond adorable, so cute. And Cory, well....

 first I found him and Ashlyn sharing a BOWL of M&Ms....

And he scared the poop out of Ashlyn with my parents' stupid fire alarm, and all his other typical tricks. Ashlyn loved it all though. Of course. 

We were also able to go to the temple with Mom, Dad, and Alex Friday night. That was really great. Not only because we got to leave Ashlyn with a top babysitter, Andrea (slight sarcasm.... ha ha ha) but also because seriously, where better to go after a job interview for a job we were reeeeaaaallllly hoping to get, than a place to contemplate and feel the Spirit?

And here we have our best attempt at getting a picture of both cousins together. I think these two are really going to be partners in crime when they're a little older. Probably bossing sweet little Grace around the whole time. :) It is so fun to see these cute girl cousins together.
