Whew, it has been a million years since I updated on here. I feel like just when one thing gets over there is another already starting. But I have a couple of days of normalcy this week so blogging, here I come!
We made the trip down to Utah for Collin's dad's funeral the last week of June. I don't think I have any appropriate words for it right now, maybe someday I will. It was really hard. One of those weeks I wore waterproof mascara every day, for a reason. I don't have a good way to put down my feelings on here right now, because it still seems pretty fresh. But I am very thankful for my knowledge that families are forever, and that though this was a hard time to say goodbye to Jim, and doesn't seem like the right time, it's not forever.
The silver lining was that all of the Robertsons were together, for the first time since right after we got married, back in 2005. I love Collin's brothers, their wives, and their kids. We had a good time together, as much of a good time as we could under the circumstances. I hardly have any pictures because I didn't feel like it was something I wanted to remember, but I did get a couple.

For one thing, Ashlyn got to meet her cousin Reece, who lives in Ohio! She is just 3 months older than Ashlyn, although you can see they are about the same size! It was so fun having little baby girls around for everyone to play with and hold.

Sam and Megan were super-gracious to let us stay with them, again. It is about a half-hour drive from Provo to Collin's mom's house in Saratoga Springs, but it was definitely worth it, having a 4-month old with us and everything. There were so many people staying at Darlyne's place we would probably not have gotten any sleep. It was nice to have a quiet place to go to at night, and Ashlyn slept great there. Lucy stayed with Sam and Megan the day of the funeral. She was so sad whenever Collin would go out the door to get stuff out of the car, or whatever. This is what she would do! Sit with her nose in the crack of the door, crying. What. a. drama queen.

When Sam was holding Ashlyn, we noticed that his hands pretty much envelope her entire midsection. So we took a measuring picture of Sam's giant feet compared to her! Maybe we will do this each time we see Sam to see how much Ashlyn has grown. Ha ha.

And the giant hand.

It just wouldn't be the Robertson house without some wrestling. Collin took on all his nephews but one (who is 17)--Reed, Scotty, Aiden, Brett, and Sean! What cute kids. And of course Collin came out on top... I think.
