Time Wasters. . . or are they?

We've been out of town or had visitors a lot the past few weeks, so after we got back from our camping trip I knew I need to get some serious stuff done. Like, our bathrooms haven't been cleaned in over 3 weeks, our floors are hideously dirty, I am now the Program Director for IMTA so I've got a bajillion phone calls to make in setting up clinicians and meeting places, Our laundry is beyond overflowing, I still haven't set up my piano studio, I haven't even thought about my fall piano schedule, studio policy, or curriculum, Our yard is full of weeds (I didn't think it would be possible, but it is more full now than it was), and there's a pile of receipts as tall as me waiting for me to balance my checkbook, to name a few. Oh, and we don't have any food.
Now, you may ask, what is the big deal? These are all reasonable things that a resonable person could get done easily in a week's time. WELL, think again, friend. You're forgetting the 2 things that have COMPLETELY been occupying ALL my spare time ever since we got home from our camping trip:
Thing #1:
Seriously, I am SUCH a sucker for the Olympics. When else do you get to veg out for 5 hours every night watching exciting competitions and inspiring stories? Not often enough, in my opinion! That's why I take take the liberty to completely absorb myself in watching more TV in 2 weeks than I usually do in 5 months! The fun is actually almost over--I really only stay interested until gymnastics is over. But that's been on every night until like midnight so far! Somebody pull me away!
Thing #2:
As if you thought me watching the Olympics all night every night was bad enough, you will be further dismayed to realize that during commercial breaks, I mute it enough to read 2 pages out of Breaking Dawn! For the record, I don't even like this one very much--I haven't liked any of them since Twlight, but how can you not read them anyways, just to find out what happens? That's all I've been trying to do all week, but I can't seem to get it done! Just when I sit down to read, I remember that the Olympics are on (since I've already pushed my infinity-long to-do list out of my conscience), so what do I do? Nope, I don't choose between them. I do BOTH. And do you think either is a very good way to be spending my time? DON'T ANSWER THAT QUESTION!!! :)

Hi Tonya! I'm glad you found us I'm always looking for fun blogs to read and since most of my friends are still super lame and not even married they don't do the blog thing. :( I LOVE the layout you have on yours it's so cute. I added you to my bloglist too so it's cool. The gymnastics part of Olympics are so my favorite! I was never a gymnast though like you (I'm pretty sure you were, right?)!
