Spring Break

Collin's mom nicely offered for us to go stay in a time share at the Wolf Creek resort which is just outside of Ogden, UT. She didn't come because she was on a 2-week trip to Florida visiting Collin's brother and fam, but we had a really busy week anyway visiting with other family in that area!'

First stop was actually Logan, where Collin did a clinic for a high school there, where his brother helps out with coaching. Lucky for me and Ashlyn, we got to go hang out with my wonderful Aunt Melanie and my cousin Tanner for a few hours while he was gone. I really loved my time living in Logan and the fun weeks I spent staying with my aunt back when I'd attend summer music clinics in Logan, and of course while I lived in Logan. It was really fun to hang out with them. Aunt Mel took such good care of us and fed us a yummy dinner. Ashlyn had a great time trashing her living room.
(fingers crossed we might move back there some day, Aunt Mel! :)

It's a long story that I don't want to spend the time writing, but we finally got to our condo that night at 11:30! (after leaving Logan at 9:00!) We were very tired by then and Ashlyn was pretty grumpy. She did not go to bed well which really started off the trip rough. Thankfully after that first night she slept better the rest of the time.

Here is a picture of the living room, it was really nice. There are pillows stacked because Collin and I actually slept on the murphy bed in the living room.... and Ashlyn got the big king-size bedroom all to herself! It was that or us be confined to the bedroom while she slept in the living room.... I think we made a good choice!

Friday Collin took a trip into Layton to have lunch with yet another brother. So Ash and I were on our own, but we explored the resort a little and found a huge room of toys that she had a blast in, so it was fun. Later that afternoon we went for a walk and found  a park to play at. Of course the most fun thing for her is always the dirt or bark at the park, and this one was no exception.
Another failed attempt at a mommy-Ashlyn picture

chillin' watching Dora and having a snack :)

The next day we went in to Ogden to a children's museum they have there. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours, and Ashlyn of course loved it. It was fun to see her explore everything and play with her. She got pretty tired at the end, probably pretty over-stimulated and well, tired. So we left and decided to just head back to our condo for nap time.

I caught Collin "checking out" the x-rays in the little doctor's office! pretty funny.

That night we had some visitors! Tara, Paul, and Jodee came to hang out with us. We BBQ'd some burgers and played some games. It was really fun!

Loving every minute of playing with Uncle Paul

The one time we went out in the backyard area of the condo and what does she find.... dirt of course.

My pretty sisters

In awe of the magical fireplace
Catching some NCAA basketball of course!

And this is where Lucy spent her weekend: In Ogden with Tara and Paul. They were so nice to watch her. They sent me a few pics of her either laying on the couch or begging for food, so sounds like she was right at home!

Sunday morning we got up and caught a sacrament meeting near our condo before we headed out. (Easter dress pics will be on a different post...but don't expect much they did not go well!)

We stopped in Tremonton for a few hours that afternoon to spend time with Collin's brother Morgan and his family. Ashlyn LOVES to play with her cousins there. They had her out on the tramp for a good solid hour or two. She came in pretty hungry and tired! Also while we were there I'm pretty sure she ate almost all the mini-oreos in Aiden's Easter basket! She definitely discovered a love for those!!

cute cousins.
