Warning: Long boring story ahead!
The craziest thing happened yesterday ( in my mind anyway! ). Beyond the fact that I flew in from SLC at 11 am and had 2 hours to unpack and get myself together before an evening of teaching . . . I was wearing my new coat I got (after Christmas sales baby!) and always keep my phone with me for a clock when I'm teaching at the kids' houses. Well on my way into the first family's house I felt in my pocket and no phone! I figured I left it in the car. So I had to go blindly through lessons guessing at what time it was.
2 hours later-- back my car thankfully I found the phone way under the seat. How it got there, I don't know. So I listened to a couple of voice mails and was sure to put it securely in my pocket, but when I got to the next family's front door and felt in my pocket for my phone, lo and behold, NO PHONE! Again! I was like, "what in the freaking heck is going on here!" I figured it was under the seat again, and after going through 3 more lessons with no clock I got back in the car and was in a hurry so I felt for the phone and didn't feel it so figured "whatever" and just did one more lesson with no clock.
So I just headed home . . . still didn't have the phone in my hand but I was sure I had it under the seat or something. Well when I got home and searched, searched, searched the car, NO PHONE! I dumped out all my bags, pockets, everything and it was gone. I was dead tired and grumpy anyways, so of course it added perfectly to my day! It was also on silent so even if we tried to call that didn't do any good.
So we finally decided to head back out and search where I had been--clear back out in Eagle which is at least a 20 minute drive. We stopped at a gas station I had been at and searched around--nothing. The last hope and last stop was a students' house where I had been the 2nd time I noticed it was gone. We pulled in front of their house where I had parked, all the while I was thinking "there is no way we are going to find it" and praying that we would also! It's brand new and besides, the only link to the world I have! So we got out and I didn't see anything, just like I had suspected. But as I went over to kick away a pile of snow, there it WAS!!!! Buried in a little tuft of snow. I couldn't believe it! We're talking, sitting in the middle of the road here! It was a miracle 1)that it didn't get run over 2) that no one stepped on it 3) that it wasn't ruined for sitting in snow for 3 hours.
so that is my amazing story about my phone. I really couldn't believe we found it, there in the snow in the road. It was very, very lucky. And PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED! :)
