Snow, Snow Go Away!

This is what we have been waking up to here almost every morning. I know to all you people east of us this looks like no big deal, but for Boise it is! And gosh darn it, I am getting tired of brushing and scraping off my car every morning! Seriously, though, this is a "snowier" winter than Boise has had in the last decade or more. It's still nothing compared to an Eastern Idaho winter, but I say, enough is enough! I moved here for a reason--and that's to have snow only like 5 days out of the whole winter! :) We've been finding lots of things to do for fun inside though. We went to the U of I vs. BSU basketball game last weekend, and of course BSU creamed them so it was no big deal.
It was weird because this was the first time I actually went and bought "regular people" tickets--we didn't get student tickets.

I busted out the sewing machine that my grandma gave me for Christmas--I had to add a couple inches to some pants for a clogging costume. It took me over 3 hours for that simple thing! But I was really glad I actually figured it all out--and I haven't forgotten as much as I thought I had about sewing!

Of course Collin has been spending a lot of time with the good old Patriot wrestling team--there are 2 weeks left in the season. They haven't had the best year but it's been fun going to matches and cheering anyways, and he's made a lot of good friends with the guys on the team and his fellow coaches this year.

My clogging team is gearing up for Boise Kick-off, our first competition of the season. I'm competing in 2 dances and I'm pretty excited. We've worked a lot on our dances and it will be good to get going. This comp is a qualifier for nationals so hopefully we will qualify! The comp is this Saturday at NNU in Nampa.

We saw The Kite Runner--it's really good. If you get disturbed by "sensitive" issues, it might not be for you--but really, it was good and we really liked it. Now I want to read the book! (I know, I'm probably one of the last people on the planet to read it)

We've also been to a few BSU Wrestling matches--of course. Collin's been to more than I have, thank goodness. :) Actually, it's fun to see how much I've learned about wrestling and I actually get into the matches way more than I used to.

This picture is so funny--I found it when I googled "BSU Wrestling." See that guy walking away right behind Randall's head? That's Collin! This is a way old picture! But what are the odds, eh!

I hear you about the snow. We've been slammed this winter. I'm sick of wearing my boots everywhere! Good luck with your clogging competition!
