Well, I started out the Christmas season with high hopes for the crafts I would make, treats I would bake, and so on . . . what happened was I found myself in way over my head by the 8th and never caught up until the day I flew home for Christmas. So I thought I'd share some examples of the things I've been working on and also share a suggestion to never do all these things in one Christmas season. I definitely won't be again--unless I start in August.
I made our Christmas cards . . .
These are the treats for friends, fellow bishopric families, assistant coaches, etc.--I made the little snowman ornaments, and the cookies, well, turned out to be an unexpected nightmare. Seriously, who knew baking soda could expire? Beyond the cookies I made 2 extra batches of treats for giving away also. (and I'm not a professional baker, that's for sure!)
And yet another masterpiece . . . :) This is a small sample of the tons of sugar cookies I made for my kids' Christmas recital. I thought they were pretty cute.

What a little Martha Stewart you are! I conveniently did not make anything this Christmas. It's true - no ornaments or treats or anything. What a slacker am I?!!
